As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the well-equipped kitchen, great kitchen/living space/conservatory, and amazing views. Nearby hotels and farms were great for meals, and there were plenty of interesting local walks near the coast and inland. The location was peaceful and quiet, and the quality of the facilities and equipment in the cottage was top-notch. Very highly recommended for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
Felt right at home, no complaints at all.

The location of the cottage was excellent, offering stunning views over the surrounding area and mountains. the rooms were comfortable and the bathroom had beautiful decor. the cottage was well equipped with quality items, and the caretaker was readily available for any support needed.
The double mattress was nearing the end of its life.

The cottage had amazing views and was very comfortable. the kitchen was well equipped and the kitchen/living space was great. the bathroom and bedrooms were decent too. the location was nice and peaceful, with plenty of nearby hotels and farms for meals. It was also a great base for exploring the local area.
The shower pressure was quite poor, which was a bit of a letdown. the bedrooms were on the smaller side and the double mattress was showing signs of wear.

The location was perfect for a peaceful and quiet getaway. the surrounding area offered beautiful views and there were plenty of interesting walks to explore. the cottage itself was comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we needed provided, and even more.
We were slightly disappointed with the size of the bedrooms. They were quite small, making it a bit cramped and uncomfortable for a longer stay.

I absolutely loved the beautiful decor in the bathroom, and the semi-circular driveway added a touch of elegance. The location was perfect for exploring Caithness, with stunning views over Lybster and the surrounding mountains. Plus, the nearby hotels and farms offered delicious meals, and John o' Groats was just a short drive away. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
The bedrooms were a bit small, and the double mattress was showing some signs of wear. Additionally, the shower pressure could have been stronger, but it did the job.

I felt very safe and secure inside the property, even when the wind was blowing a gale outside. the decor in the bathroom was lovely, and I especially enjoyed the semi-circular driveway. the property is located on a quiet single track road not far from the A9, with stunning views over Lybster and the mountains. It was the perfect base for exploring Caithness, and I would highly recommend staying at Taigh An Clachair. Cons: Nothing at all.
